First track day and safety warning

Just ran my car on track Wednesday at Harris Hills for the 1st time (TNiA) total stock (except for 5w-40) and it did great on stock brake pads etc. It was almost funny how late I could brake compared to almost everyone else. Handling was great also, had a few issues with the 2 to 3 shift for some reason, I haven't had any issues with it on the street. Going to to be getting track alignment and SRF before going back for HPDE on the 21st.

Safety warning: The damn stock knee pad came off during one session when I bumped it with my knee and went down by the pedals during a hot lap. Lucky I was close to pit in and was able to drop it off quickly and continue. I will be running without them next time or tape them down

I know this a older post..I have bumped that knee pad myself getting out of the car when I'm parked really close to the wife's car in the garage. It happen more than once I can barley get the door open to sqeeze thru becuase of the longer door. If it is hit just right with fwd motion it pops out with ease.

What do you think is the solution ? I cant make the garge any wider. Also tracking the car is the cocern as well as OP mentioned.

Glue the damn thing in with a little bit of RV. .. enough to hold off bumping it in a foward up position?

Its a safety cocern if you tense up and move your leg on a high g turn on the track

Can you add a couple of oval-head sheetmetal screws?

When I first read the title I thought you got a warning from the track or the organizers.

floor mats is on everyone list. I've added the knee pads because that could have been bad.
