Press and hold the button (foot off brake) until it turns green. Should be about 10 seconds.

I agree and is why I changed the pads. Very easy to do since the Brembo's can be changed without taking the calipers off. Just take the wheel off remove the retaining pins that hold the spring at the top of the caliper; slip old pads out and slip new ones in. If you have too much wear on the brakes you may need to push the old pads outward to get new pads in.

PowerStop pads. They make a couple different pads. I got the Z26 and very little dust.

Beep Beep Beep "step on brake to release parking brake"
I know it's a great safety feature though.

A good reason to get the convertible, then. I got a 5th gen vert because I liked the styling better than the hardtop (top up OR down).

Since the parking brake is already electronic it should release itself when you shift out of park or try to accelerate with the stick.

Hell GM had automatic parking brake release mechanisms in all Cadillacs 40 years ago.

Skip shift and the e-Brake.

CAGS eliminator to be installed once I get under there to do it.
I've actually "bumped" the e-brake a couple of times now attempting to take off. It WILL release but not a good feeling.

(Same reason I'm not a fan of 4x4 low w/o a shift level. Guess I'm just old school.)
