I sold my Corvette when I bought the new 2SS (I agree) the cabin room and ride is a killer. After 20 years of owning Corvettes I'm really enjoying the Camaro.. Also if your buying new it a big jump to get the options we have on a 2SS. The Corvette 2LT that gets the Heads Up and options that our 2SS has put in in that low to mid 60s pricing range.. Ouch !!

Had my upgrade from 2016 1 LT RS A8 to 2017 2 SS A8 NPP for 8 days and i lost 4mpg combined driving and gained ton of power and that V8 sound is hard to beat. This will be the best car i will very likely ever own so i am happy i stepped up the deal was hard to beat would have hurt more if i waited longer. So my V6 remorse started 4-6 months after i got it and the car meets i got barely noticed. It was upgrade now before i spent anything on mods or stick with the RS for good. I chose the upgrade when the break in is done i can honestly compare the difference my RS 0-60 best was 5.4 on stock tires. The SS should do low 4's.

I've enjoyed this thread, and I can relate to the whole excitation, habituation, restlessness cycle. For the most part, it's true: we tire of what satisfied us, and the grass is always greener.

At this point, I've collectively gone through close to twenty cars, but there was one that seemed to hit all the marks, and my regret was not in buying it, but selling it. That car was my Porsche Boxster S, and I fear that it has ruined me for anything else.

At the time, it was an indulgence, and while reliable, the parts were not inexpensive. As the CPO warranty was running out, I got nervous, and with no one else in the family who could drive a manual, I sold it.

The irony is that the VW I purchased as safe convertible for my wife and son, is now what I'm currently using, and while the sunroof convertible top is slick and the car is feature laden, it is not satisfying with the DSG. And while I was going to pass it on to my son, he has no interest in car ownership whatsoever.

So, it all goes into the hopper of consideration for my next car, a mythical vehicle that is satisfying yet simple, one that will be the keeper for the rest of my life. The challenge is to find the right balance of technology.

I felt the same thing when I bought the 2015 2LT RS..... so two weeks later I traded it in on a 2016 2SS!! Lost a few bucks in the deal, but if I'd have kept the 2015 RS I'd have felt that pain in my stomach every time I saw a 2016! Couldn't be happier!

Wasn't really a case of buyer remorse. I woke up the next day thinking that I really didn't need to buy this car as I have other "toys" but every time I get in it I feel like i'm 16 again.

Money well spent.

My first Camaro was a 2011 2LT RS a V6 (5th gen). I loved that car, I never regret buying it but I needed to trade it with the 6th gen 2SS. Your 6th gen V6 is as quick or even faster than the 5th gen V8. The V6 is the perfect daily driver and the V8 is for the track. Heck I even heard reviews that the 4cylinders turbo have better acceleration than the V6. Lethal Camaro even witnessed it first hand by comparing them on his test drives (I think). Give it a few months and maybe trade it with a 2SS later. Meanwhile never test drive a 6th gen 2SS even if u have a chance unless ur ready to trade it in.

Only remorse I had was not waiting a few more months to save a few grand on the car. But oh well!

No regrets. Love my car. I think the NPP was the topper though. The sound makes the car. And the thing runs just like my 2002 ls1

I've had mine for a year and love every second behind the wheel. Best car I've ever had.

Can ever get enough power. No such thing! 455hp is not too much for daily street driving. You must be crazy!

Protip - Don't test drive the SS if you already haven't done so. You'll thank me later.
I did this exact thing after having owned my 2LT for 2 months. I am now going in tomorrow to see how much it'll cost me to order a 2SS ahahaha. Ugh. I am both happy and sad!
