I think the 5.7 liter 125hp in the Monza was only in California, the rest of us got a lovely 4.3 liter 262cid V8 with 110HP.
My 74 Camaro had the 5.7 liter 350CID with 145HP... Thank you smog regs!

I had a 72 Z28 that put out all of 175Hp because of smog control. However, back then it was easy to remove. The exhaust manifold had a small tube from each port that were routed back to a smog pump. Just pull the lines , cap the ports, and remove the pulley for the pump and you pretty much had removed all the controls. Also had a 73 Cosworth Vega that came stock with double overhead cams, fuel injection, and headers. Don't remember the HP but it
would beat most stock 350 Camaros.

They've had a good run. Now to see more Caprice 9C1s hopefully.

Couldn't have found at least a pic of a Euro sport? Or a Z34? J/K

Third gen doesn't need an excuse. It still looks badass.

I think the Cosworth Vega was supposed to have been rated at 140HP, unfortunately it actually went on sale with a 110hp rating in 1975.

I had a 1990 Lumina Euro 3.1 V6 (The Celebrity had a model called the Eurosport), and it was a very good and reliable car. I traded it for the redesigned 1995 Lumina 3.4 V6 and it was very troublesome... In fact we discovered the first problem with it on the way home from the dealer, and the issues were constant.

The 3.1 motor and trans in that Lumina was a tough ass combo. I abused the hell out of one for 100,000 miles when I was a kid. Car ran strong till the day I got rid of it. Next owner took it and did two trips to california and one to florida. Ran great until they ran it without any oil in the motor.
