I finally ordered another CAI after my first CA6 misfire. I liked the Rotofab for quality and sound tube delete. While it has not been indepenently proven so far to improve power, I love the sound. And as reported elsewhere the NPP sound level has seemed to go up a notch.
I had a friend help me and having him there was very useful to drive me to AutoZone to buy a T45 torque socket. Besides getting the assembled tube in place and flush with the connectors, the hardest part was flipping the Rotofab name plate which also was much easier with two people. It wasn't until I was putting everything away did I notice that Rotofab thoughtfully supplied the tiny allen wrench to help you flip the badge. This CAI is quality. I am epecially happy about the sound tube delete for these reasons:
See Pic 3 for the Rotofab sound tube cover on the firewall. With the CAI and the DRs my Camaro is oficially now a bolt-on SS. Goodbye any dream of moving up on the fast list. I came so close to a 12.3 and that was in July. I hope once I am done with my mild mods I can get close to a 12.0 in good air.

Do you have a picture of where that sound tube is?

You can see it snaking under the catch can here. It attaches on one end to the intake tube and snakes to the firewall. Notice the cleaner Rotofab pic.

I took advantage of an offer Ted Jannety made to use for testing the benefit SS LT1 bolton mods. He had my car for over week testing different combinations. And in the end the parts that made the most power would be installed on my car with a final tune.
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=472259 It was a long wait but well worth it. I wanted to keep the stock NPP muffler which Ted says gives the same power as the aftermarket axle backs and can keep noise under control. The headers and exhaust are one of the best ARH. I chose the ARH long system which gets rid of all the crimps in the stock exhaust. I think those crimps are there to soften the harsher tones of the LT1 Exhaust. Keeping the NPP was a great decision as the exhaust is LOUD when wide open. But in all modes with the flaps closed the car is only a little louder than stock. While highway cruising the exhaust is barely audible and there is no drone. Stock my SS made 429 RWHP and 436 RWTQ. I was surprised at these numbers. The stock LT1 makes as much power stock as an LS3 with full boltons and a tune. Nice. THis is what ended up on the car:
Here is the final dyno: Peak to Peak gains 31 RWHP 11 RWTQ. Delta gains +46 RWHP +31 RWTQ. I can really feel the extra power. The lower end feels about the same but the upper end it comes on stronger than before. One of the cool things JRE did for me was to fit the stock Camaro LT1 Side covers on the sides of the MSD. I did not lie the look of the MSD by itself but with the red lettering on the side covers and on the Rotofab I think it looks pretty cool. IMO. Anyway I highly recommend Ted and his shop. Everone I met there seems nice and I like Ted's no BS attitude. A tuner you can trust. His work is not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Went to Atco tonight. My SS is now in the 11s! The SS now has a high pitched wail. It sounds fast. There is more in it. The DA was: -571. I love Atco.
If it was not for the election of a mental patient last night, I would be a happy camper today.

Recently my daughter finally decided to get a car so we gave her the Jetta that took two of my girls to college. Even though I work from home I decided I still need a daily driver and to keep my SS safe and warm here in the northeast.
At first I was going with a 392 Charger until the wife saw through that. She will drive this car too sometimes. Okay in life you sometimes compromise. She put up with my now very loud SS. And her Rav4 V6 is getting long in tooth but will last forever. So then I started spreading the daily beater net. I loved the 335i I had before the 5th gen Camaros came out. You can buy a nice used 335i for $30K but the cost of ownership is steep over time. Scratch the BMW. Then I started looking at other sedans. I had just about settled on a Toyota Avalon, fun to drive I am told, when I found out you cannot get Android Auto/Car Play on the Toyota. I am spoiled now. So I looked at Mazda 6es. They are a lot of car for the $$ but again no AA/CP and no V6/turbo. I drove one, it felt good, but not quite right for us. My wife has a lead foot. I had considered Honda Accords, but they all looked so dowdy. Then I discovered the V6 Touring sedan. I drove one and fell in love. It reminded me of my 335i and is almost as fast. It has the sport 19" wheels, suspension and every accord option. Sophisticated, comfortable, fast, and with great steering. Now my wife is asking me, will I drive the SS any more? Oh yes it is a great driving car for spring, summer, and fall. Now I have my cake and I can eat it too.
