Calgary - Brakes
So, I went to Shaganappi Chev here in Calgary to get a quote on front brakes for my 2010 SS. They quoted me $550 for just the pads, and $1279 for the pads and rotors. Is this the normal price range? Anyone suggest anywhere else to go?

I went too to GM and it was $350 for the pads (V6)
But I went to a scrap yard and got a Complete Set of 4 2014 SS Brembos...Rotors/pads/calipers/lines...Special price for $450...I got lucky

The pads are not cheap but you could do them yourself as long as you have a garage. Unless you're really hard on brake you shouldn't need the rotors done yet.

Sounds close to what the dealer quoted me lol. It was $1200'ish to do the fronts and just under $1000 for the rears.
Youre better off getting aftermarket pads anyways. A set of HAWK HPS or HP+ pads are only $175 in change for the fronts. Check out www.rockauto.com, you can get even the OE AC Delco/Brembos for MUCH less then the dealer cost. Another option is search the Brake/Suspension classifieds. Ive seen like new take-offs sell for as little as $150 for all 4 corners. In fact i picked some up myself and changed them at the beginning of this spring. Any year pads will work from 2010-present as long as theyre from an SS.

Jesus man that's expensive!! Buy some aftermarket ones (hint, hint on the big brake kit!!) and come out for a visit to Okotoks....I'll help you put them on with the aid of a hoist. I do have a car tied up on the hoist for an engine swap currently though....

Thanks for all the suggestions! I don't think I drive my car hard enough for Baer brakes lol
Looks like I can get the AC Delco brake pads for $75 through my sister who works at a GM dealership. My brother-in-law is going to install them for me for a case of beer! So, looks like I'm going to save a ton of money. We're going to paint the calipers while we have everything taken apart too!

Just ordered the G2 Inferno Orange caliper paint. $135 USD after shipping! Ouch. Wish they sold it locally!

I just had my calipers swapped (I painted another pair myself), and had the pads and rotors swapped out as well (R1 Concepts) by Davenport. I'll post some pics later today.
