Input on lowering
Guys,
Really like to lower my 2013 1LE for cosmetic reasons but DO NOT want to ruin the 1LE ride and handling. If you have lowered yours, please tell me what you used (product), any regrets, any issues or concerns? etc. Did the install require a specialized shop or how do I best select a shop to install the recommended lowering springs, etc? Drop speed did a nice write up
BUT FOR THE LIFE OF ME I CANT FIGURE OUT WHICH PEDDERS SPRINGS HE IS SUGGESTING. I want to order them but don't know which set (part number) is being suggested. HELP!!!!!! http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...hlight=Pedders Install shouldn't require a specialized. It's about 4 hours if labor. Dealer or your local trusted shop can knock it out. I think your interest is common "lower for looks but won't sacrifice performance" |

My car was sitting on Eibach springs when I bought it. Seems to ride and drive great to me. A little harsh at times but overall I'm happy with it. Keep in mind I haven't drove a 1LE at stock height so for all I know the springs made little difference. Any reputable shop can lower one of these cars.

Hi guys.
FYI. If you are lowering for daily driving/looks and not the track I would suggest purchasing some rear Camber bolts. My rear camber is at -1.3 and -1.4 and I couldn't get any less camber from the left (Drivers) side. This was "ok" for me at the time for the track but will be making a change to get mine closer to -1.0 or so. I searched and search and the only option I can find for is is the Pedders rear camber bolt kit. http://www.peddersusa.com/product/5t...C/default.aspx Matt

Thanks for the input Dropspeed. Ive added them to my order.
I take it the front is ok? Seeing as I live so far away from suppliers and resellers, Id rather just buy it all at the same time to reduce down time. Cheers Mike Quote:

Drop seed - if I lower with the pedders you suggest, what would you recommend front and rear camber to be set at? I daily drive, very rare track use.
I'd rather tell my alignment guy were I want it rather than take a suggestion Quote:

I didn't have any issues with the front as there was plenty of adjustment on my vehicle BUT I wanted more negative camber. (-1.6). I am not 100% sure you can get back to (-1.0) which is what my 1LE came with in the front but I don't see why not.
As far as recommendations you can take a look at this chart under Perfomance Street as they are within stock range. http://www.pfadtracing.com/blog/wp-c...-alignment.pdf

Dropspeed,
Regarding the alignment specs. Are these solely for lowered or can they be used for stock height also? We plan to track, autocross more than anything, and at this time lowering is not going to be part of the plan. I could ask Pfadt directly I'm sure, but you seem to have the experience with the 1LE's and the track time. Thanks.
