Ok so I changed the transmission fluid and now the skip shift isnt working right. Did I put enough fluid back in tranny or too much? I know, I know why did you change it. I jst wanted to change after break in period because I'm picky like that. lol

Did you accidentally unplug the skip shift harness up on the transmission drivers side?

Take it to the dealer! I would recommend them doing it next time though. Its not a hard job but they would be held responsible if something happened! I did my last manual for 160 Nissan dealer. $130 does my silveraldo auto. good luck

Not to be a smart ass, but your thread title is very generic. You will get more replies if you make the title more specific. Such as "Having a skip shift issue - need an assist please".

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

2016 ss tranmission skip shift problems

The message to change from 1st to 2nd doesnt start popping up until everything is warmed up and then it still isnt consistent. Its like I have installed a skip shift eliminator, but I havent.

I dont think I unpugged it. The only thing I unplugged was the heat sensor to get the bottom plug out, but I plugged that back up.
