plus from what I have seen the Corvette needs a charger hooked up to the battery all the time in the garage according to my Chevy dealership. My Camaro doesn't

The electrical systems on the two cars are pretty much identical. One car isn't going to have a bad battery any more than the other under identical circumstances.

i think that top gear episode exaggerated it a bit. On my 2008 corvette you had to be standing next to the car like within 2 feet for it to unlock the doors. To start the car fob had to be inside the car like most vehicles. I doubt dodge has it where it will start it 10+ feet away and through a wall.

It wouldn't be the first time those shows "exaggerated" things a bit. It is all about the ratings, never mind most facts.

I obviously know it was exaggerated. I was using it as an example of what I wouldn't want to happen if i was within 10 feet and couldnt see or hear my car. All keyless cars I've driven allow some touching or grabbing of handle to open and key within cabin to start, hence why I said that driving it away is much less likely. It's the getting in and snatching my radar, briefcase, or something similar that I would worry about. Maybe it doesn't affect much people on here living in the country, but in a city of 8 million people, we are a little more packed and have to be a bit more security conscience. For example, my in laws live in the country and they have never locked their cars or their house doors, which I find insane, but I've always lived in cities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
