Chips on 1LE Wheels - Bad luck? Repairable?

I was so excited to get my 1LE, I love the wheels especially. Fast forward 1600 miles and every single one of my wheels has a chip from what I assume is road debris. Small enough that only I would ever notice in most cases, but greatly disappointing nonetheless. Out of all the cars I've ever owned I've never had wheels get marked by road debris like these have.

Is it possible to fix these sorts of blemishes for a reasonable price?

You can get them powder coated for about $100 per rim. Powder coat is more durable than the OEM paint.

I spoke to a powder coater on my stock black stock single spoke SS wheels about getting them powder coated because the paint was peeling off. He quoted me $150/wheel because he said they needed to be chemically stripped and not media blasted. The media blast would leave a texture. Luckily for me, GM replaced all four wheels. Just something to consider.

I'm in the same boat. All of my wheels have at least one minor chip, but the left front has a few more noticable. I touched them up with a graphite paint pen and they aren too bad from a distance, but I only have 1000 miles and one track day.

Thinking a powdercoat is in order once I change tires.

Wow, those are beautiful looking. Anyone have pictures of this done in black by chance? I'm going to be looking into this process for sure as the tires on the car probably won't last through the year at this rate anyway, will be a good time to get this done.
