I agree. Not saving my Camaro for anyone. Plus they depreciate at about $4,000.00 year.

The snow and cold doesn't bother me. Its the salt they dump all over the roads that will keep my car in the garage during the winter. It will be a sad day when I have to park it.

Pretty much this for me also. Don't want my canvas to be infected with all the salt and spray salt. Plus having the ground effects package plays a huge factor. But I'll drive it as long as I can, hopefully the temps will stay moderate till thanksgiving. Everyone has there reasons why they do and do not drive it in the winter.

Oh yay. Another thread where someone stands on their soap box and says I should drive my car during the winter.
My response. I have 3 cars, the camaro sits in the garage because I can afford do to such. So drive your car all winter, enjoy the salt chips (where applicable), premature rust, and STFU Have a great day

I also can't drive my Camaro's as daily drivers in my line of work. Too much stuff to carry around and clients to entertain, so an SUV is my DD. My Camaro's are my toys for fun driving. I have a 2x4 Traverse as a DD and an HD2500 Duramax 4x4 Crew cab if it gets too extreme. The wife has an 2x4 Enclave as a DD and 4x4 Trailblazer for the extreme days. For toys I have my 1969 Z28, 1982 Z28, and 2014 2SS/1LE. None of these see rain or snow. They may never end up in a museum, but I take pride in them and I like to keep them perfect! So don't criticize those who choose to and can afford to put them away during the winter months. It is our choice just as you make the choice to drive yours. More power to you! Don't get me wrong...it is fine for you to drive it in the winter. Just gets old seeing all the people here and on Facebook that jump to judge those who CHOOSE not to drive their car in the winter. I don't judge those who choose to drive them in the winter. |

Scared? Nah just smart to many people who don't know how to drive in snow.
Georgia has winter? Ryan

Not so much scared, as wanting to keep it nice as best as possible. I'd rather not have a rusted out pos 30 years from now due to driving on roads caked with salt. I also have an AWD DD with Blizzaks that's fun as hell to drive in the snow...I'd much rather be in that, than a Camaro that wouldn't go anywhere.

Mine is a daily driver, though I still need to drive the Avalanche once in a while. On really bad days I can still drive the Avalanche.

You just have to understand there's a fine line between "toys" and "daily drivers", some will make their Camaro their "toy" which is perfectly fine. I drive mine every chance I get! I bought it to drive it and that's what I'm gonna do, but I feel a little safer driving a 4x4 truck during winter than driving a 450hp car in snow/ice.
