2014 stingray or 2014 zl1
I need help deciding which is the more fun choice. I am also taking into consideration which one Will be a better collectors car 50 years from now since I am going to keep the car.

Easy choice!! If you need the rear seats get the zl1.....if not get the vette.

Really? Stingrays have a stupid amount of orange peel.
You need to go drive both. Two totally different cars. ZL1 is nice and comfy and a great daily driver. Stingray almost wraps you in a cocoon. Very tight feeling in the Stingray.

If you're considering a vette, then why not consider a lightly used zr1??
Same suspension as the zl1, 60 or so more hp and 800 or so pounds lighter. Plus way better brakes!! Tony

that's exactly what I would do.. when I was looking at cars I was looking at ZL1/ZR1... a used low mile ZR1 is 70k compared to a new ZL1 which is easily 50k-60k. After test driving a ZR1, it was an easy choice for me since I am 280lbs and 6'4" ....

You'll feel the weight in the ZL1. How about a 2013 Corvette 427 Vert?

I just traded my C6 (09) M6 for the ZL1. Felt to confined in my Vette unless the top was down. It also was a bear for me to get in and out of. The second reason is I wanted more of a muscle car than a sports car.

i doubt that any of these 2 cars will ever be really a collectors car. But because you are asking:
The ZL1 is the top Camaro. The Stingray is just a base Corvette. It is not even good looking IMO. the Z06 again... well thats another story.

The vette will prob hold its value better over time. But 20yrs from now I think the ZL1 will be the cooler car to have & probably less common out on the streets.
There will certainly be less Z's on the road. Only produced 4 yrs.... I'm already seeing more c7's out on the road then Z's & its only the first yr for the c7s. I myself was debating a brand new 1le or slightly used ZL1, I've decieded on the a 2012 or 13 Z. (I want the square tail-lights).

The C7 looks have not grown on me and I keep hearing bigger guys saying the driver area is "tighter" than the C6 (I'm 6'3, 240). When I had a chance to get the ZL1 for a good price I jumped and I really like the car. Juvenile and heavy, but lots of power and LOTS of fun. It's just a bully!!
