Looks great, I know what goes into making a vector of that quality and know it was a ton of work. Really a great job

Looking good.
What is your BFA focus? What are your BFA exhibit requirements? I am a prof so just curious.
I have a BFA Interior Design, MFA Interior Environments.

I think it looks very good too. If you drew it freehand, that must have taken many hours. You're a much better artist than me.

I draw lots of vector art for laser cutting and engraving, but when I need to draw something like that, I cheat and use the bitmap trace function in Corel Draw to convert a photo into vector art.

I am dual concentrating in Graphic Design and Printmaking. The requirements are that you have to apply and exhibit to get into the program. once you are in you have to maintain over a 3.0 in all of your art classes or you get kicked. In order to graduate with the BFA degree at my school you must also apply for the show which is only offered in the spring. this you also have to show your most recent work which needs to have more focus. If they accept you, you have one semester to make around 10-15 or so pieces that work together as a body of work.

As to everyones questions about tracing it, if you are referring to Adobe's live trace than no! that would have only taken like a minute haha. if you are referring to using it as a base layer in the program than yes. the real photo was locked as soon as i put it into illustrator and I did all of the line art on another layer on top and than tried to work on the cars shadows and lighting while maintaing a minimal amount of colors. I would say it took about 30 total hours. Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Graphics software is a wonderful thing. I did this in about 30 seconds, with my old version of Corel Paint. Fun stuff.
