Anyone want to go out to their garage and do a video similar to mine showing normal clutch return? You can PM me for my email address if you prefer not to post it online. Thanks.

I don't know what it is, but would love to know. I agree it looks like it carries fluid.

It is a clutch valve of some sort. My E46 M3 had a clutch delay valve that many would take out as it delayed the clutch. I wonder if this acts similarly.

It has part number FM277001 stamped on it. One website described it as
CHEVROLET CAMARO 6.2L CLUTCH VALVE 2016 A657604-1 FM27007 PA66-GF35 FM277001

Also found it on a foreign ebay and it looks like GM used it in Opels for a while and they call it a bias valve.

I hope the fix is something simple...will update everyone on the outcome.

That right there might be the problem. Why is the round portion knurled? Is it adjustable?

That was my thought too. It sure looks like it's adjustable.

And... I'm not sure why it would be there in the first place unless it's there to guard against people dumping the clutch.

But we all have one, and your cars aren't acting like mine. So either mine is defective or I have a problem with the pressure plate, slave cylinder, etc.

any chance it allows for adjustment of the clutch engagement point? mine is on the higher side, and I would love it to be lower. it's harder to modulate it with your leg/knee compared to you foot/ankle.

Mine works the same. It bites near the top.

My clutch does the same thing when quick release like that... I thought it was normal. I guess I'm wrong if it doesn't happen to other peeps with manual. I guess I'll have to take it in too. :(
Any updates from the dealer?

Did this problem start recently or was it like this when you first drove it. Sorry if this has been asked before.

Any updates from the dealer?
Dealer called yesterday. They are working with GM to determine what parts they should replace. They tried the easy stuff first I believe, bleeding and checking the clutch pedal assembly over. Now they are into trying to determine what to swap out; master cylinder, slave cylinder, etc. I'm confident that they will figure it out, there are only so many parts in a hydraulic clutch setup. This is my first domestic car in a long time, so it is my first time buying from this dealership. My experience so far has been very good, so I fully believe they will get this figured out.

I have been scouring the internet to find others that had this issue and I found some slave/master cylinder issues and one person that seemed to indicate that they had a bad pressure plate that was causing it not to release quickly.

Been like this since I purchased it. Only have 500 miles on the car.

I'll update everyone on the final outcome once it has been fixed. Thanks!

Dealer ordered a new master cylinder. Part should be in within a couple days. Fingers crossed that this is the problem.
