Normal Clutch Action??

So, I have just over 400 miles on my '17 1LE. In normal driving, everything seems fine, but if I try to come off the clutch somewhat aggressively, the clutch feels slow to rise.

Basically, the first half or so of travel, it seems slow and then it "pops" up. This happens at any RPM and with the car on or off.

Is this normal behavior with the clutches in these cars?

Thanks,

That is not normal and would take it in immediately. It should rise and fall just as fast as your foot.

Agreed. That thing is sticking. Good luck for a quick and easy repair.

Maybe it's not warm? Every car I've had manual, the clutch was slow and sluggish when cold.

Happens all the time. Car cold. Car fully warmed up. Temps have been in the fifties. Don't think temperature has any impact.

Had the same issue with my C7. Went to the dealer, new slave and master and still had issues. Dealer could not fix it and after a month in the shop I filed a complaint with Chevy. In the end I could not get it resolved so I took a loss and traded it in on a new C7.

No. Not normal at all. I'm guessing master cylinder failure. Do not let them tell you "They all do that". If they did I'd never have bought one.

Does anybody know what the knob-like piece is behind the clutch pedal? I'm thinking this is the line to the slave cylinder, but I could be wrong.

My guess is the problem is NOT with the clutch or slave cylinder. I think it's more likely the clutch pedal assembly itself or the master cylinder.

Thanks,
Where in Chicago are you located? I'm close to Naperville. Let me know if you want to come down and drive my car so that you can feel the difference.

Thanks. Appreciate the offer. I'm up in Grayslake, but if the dealer gives me a hard time I may take you up on that. Dealer has been great so far so I am not anticipating issues, but we will see.

Interesting thought. Thing is if I am not trying to rush shifts, everything is perfect. No grinding. No issue going into gear. Will we what dealer says.

My dealer wanted to put an aftermarket return spring on the pedal. That was when I filed the complaint. They ended up claiming there was nothing wrong even though I could get the clutch pedal to stick at will. I hope you have better luck
