Porting in socal for im/TB besides socal porting

Hello everyone! Just wondering if any of you socal people have a place as SoCal Porting is a 2 hour drive from me. I live in northridge california. I know i can pay for that online but SoCal Porting quoted me $350 total for Intake manifold and Throttle body porting which is a couple hundred less. If i cant find a reliable shop closer to me Ill just pay the couple hundred more. Thanks in Advance guys

for throttle bodies, it's not difficult at all to just port yourself ... It's not a difficult or complex job, just slow.

Polishing it can add significantly to the time but that's an aesthetic thing.

for 350 bucks you're paying for about 2-3 hours labor.. which sounds about par for the course for mechanics hourly rate and the cost of sanding tips. A place that only does that kind of stuff probably has a much more streamlined and reliable method than hand-grinding it though, so that factors into cost as well.

so to answer your question, i just went to my garage to do mine.

edit: for intake manifolds...well.. you can see Jac Fab's threads on how fun that is. I dont know of any companies doing that service for the LGX.
