I hate Consumer Reports. It is perhaps the most heavily biased source of so-called journalism besides advertisements. Nothing from that source reflects fact or truth. While it is refreshing to see Consumer Reports apparently breaking its trend of bowing to Toyota and Lexus, it fails to satisfy Consumer Reports' excessive history of terrible reporting.

I guess toyota decided not "sweep this under the rug" like they have done with their safety issues before. Personally, I think toyota should stop selling their complete lineup of junk sh!tboxes PERMANETLY.

Well many consumers believe in it totally, so it does concern them a lot...

But saying that, I never go by their ratings or anything else, mainly because I have found they are totally opposite of my experiences of everything I have ever owned that they have ratings on...

One magazine isn't going to change people's mind. In order for something drastic to happen to Toyota, all the mags need to have some general consensous. The idea of Toyota being the safest, highest-quality vehicle is too far branded into the minds of the average consumer for it to be overthrown by one small magazine award.
