LT1 SPOILER

Quick Question? Does a LT1 Camaro WITHOUT the RS Package still come with a Deck Lid Spoiler?

Thanks

The LT1 trim level does not include a spoiler. A variety of "Design Package" add-on's and an explicit spoiler add-on option exist that all add it. If you're buying the LT1 trim with zero add-on packages or options, you won't get a spoiler.

No spoiler, but rear quarter style blends nicely to trunk lid with a very pleasing contour that evokes a spoiler. It's a very clean, organic look.

As stated above, LT1 trim does not include spoiler.

...and the deck lid with no holes can be a valuable trade item, because many want to change their spoilers to another that has a different bolt pattern.

There are two different types of deck lids, and one does not support the majority of spoilers out there. You need the three stanchion deck lid for most spoilers and the default deck lid is not the 3 stanchion one. There are two different part numbers if you search for Camaro deck lids.

I only know this because I have an LT1 with the RS package, so lip spoiler, and I like the low regular spoiler, but I can't just drill holes in my deck lid. Well I mean I guess I could, but the deck lid does not have the proper support structure for the spoiler if I did that, so I'd be running a big risk.

looks best without the spoiler.

ZLE and 1LE are the only spoilers that look good

LT1 does have a color keyed spoiler option.
I saw a Summit white LT1 with that. looked decent....

You can add the deck lid spoiler as a $150 option to you LT1 build/order.

There's a more subtle spoiler you can get that uses some type of adhesive instead to mount(no drilling). I think about getting it because it blends with the body and reminds me of the early Camaros.

That's unpainted and the listing states drilling is required. Why not buy the OEM GM one that's color matched to the car? The price would be a little higher, but the color will match...

If you have an LT1 without a spoiler then you have to drill all the holes in the trunk lid for the OEM Blade Spoiler. The good news though is GM provides a very nice template for drilling the holes in the correct locations.

The linked spoiler on eBay is the same, though... It states you have to drill and it's the same exact design except it's unpainted ABS. That's why I was saying just buy the GM one and get it correctly color-matched.

I've been risking it then lol

Installed my spoiler four years and 62k miles ago. Drilled my own holes with nuts and 3M double-sided tape. OEM SS spoiler, the trunk slams but other than that it's been holding up great.
