gen6 RS vs gen5 SS
Here is something that is interesting to me. We all know the 6th gen made some major improvements from the 5th gen from both quality and performance. Everyone always compares same year SS or SS vs GT and stuff like that. I want some opinions on pros and cons of the newer v6 vs the older v8 models. Obviously one has more hp than the other but there's other things to consider like: style, interior quality, age, performance, cost to own, technology etc.

The V6 with 1LE package is probably a great comparison to the last generation SS. Track performance would be close. Good acceleration even if it doesn't quite match the SS. Cost of ownership would certainly be lower although the 1LE package would increase the cost of tires. You get all the 6th gen upgrades over the 5th gen. Certainly not a bad comparison for someone to make, but most magazines and general public would be more interested in how much faster the 6th SS is to the 5th SS or vs GT.
