I still have over a year before I order, so it won't do me any good to make a decision now...
I'm already planning mods for after the warranty's gone!

I think....when I paint the red pinstripe around the wheels, I'll also tape off and paint those letters in a chrome paint for "ZL", and red for "1" to mimic the badging....I think...

Wow, I haven't looked that far ahead.

That's a good idea! If I keep the stock black wheels, I'm definitely getting them pinstriped in red. That's if I can't find any forged (chrome or polished) wheels worthy of going on the ZL1...

Go for it!! That way I can tell if it'll look okay.

Oh, and I'm going to give it a hairline black outline to separate the letters from the background paint, and then clear over it all....steal that idea, too, please.

While I doubt that the ZL1's massive torque will sheer the lightweight 10 spokes, the optional 5 spokes "look" stronger with a bit more meat. Seems like there are two camps with differing opinions on aesthetics. No matter... it's all good!

If I had ordered a BLACK ZL1... I would have gone ALL BLACK, wheels too. Black L(. (. )KS great for about two blocks & then dust ruins the effect. I opted for Victory Red with the 5 spokes & exposed weave CF. I haven't had a RED car for a long time & it's EZ to match if something ugly were to transpire.

If you order the optional wheels, do you get the standards wheels as well?

That's a good question... I know that if you buy the 21" wheels, you are also supposed to get whatever wheels came with the car, so...
