I already feel like its dark as hell inside mine with no tint. Probably why I keep the sunroof cover always open. And my car spends 90% of its time inside a pitch black garage so not worried about UV rays. Plus I hate driving with tint at night since my laser eye surgery.

Wow. Did said neighbor have dog feces on shoes

Or, that they totally trashed the inside of your door panels, rear deck, etc with spray-on crap like they did with my Acadia.

Oh yeah, horror story. My wife keeps forgetting to wipe her shoes. Black carpet shows every speck of dirt. I have to vacuum the passenger side every day.

I have 5% on the rear and two little ones and I wish it was darker! I don't have a problem seeing out the back. It's dark so I probably couldn't pick out a cop from everyone else from my rear view mirror but I can definitely see cars

This is a good horror story. I will be sure to use it the next time I'm sitting around the campfire trying to scare people. I will throw in a handful of powder that causes the flames to shoot up for dramatic effect, then state "Submitted for the approval of the midnight society, I call this story, The Tale of the 35 Tint That was Too Dark."

But in seriousness, as others mentioned, how could the dealer not quickly verify how much light the windows were passing through with a laser? Sounds pretty amateur. Depending on the state, this is a normal part of inspections and can cause you to fail if they determine not enough light passes through.

I also don't get the mentality of "let wait to determine if I can see through the back window during different times of day." The bottom line is, if you can't even see out the rear window that well in low light conditions and at night, you already have a visibility issue. What's the point of debating having it fixed at that point? That's enough to make a judgement call and get it removed or fixed.

I'm running 20 on the sides and 15 in the rear with a windshield strip of 5.
Seems perfect to me. I had 35 on the sides of my S5 and thought it was too light.

nope Im still here, laughing at their comments. I'll just wait til they post their version of a horror story weve all had moments that for us seemed major and others shake it off.

I didnt mean to imply that my life was ending, I was just suggesting to others watch how much tint you go for. the samples on the desk in the dealership didnt truly paint a picture of what was in the car when it was done. If I helped one person its all worth it
