Of course, if you had a shitbox this would of never happened. The more you care about your car and the nicer your car is, the more happens to it. Between my G8 GT, which I lost because somebody hit it going the wrong way down a one way and driving right into me, and my Shelby which also somebody crashed into, I had a 2007 cobalt. Piece of crap, bare bones car just to get to and from work and save money. Had that car for 3 years, never even got a door ding.

It's beyond frustrating and I feel for you. Especially right before the summer.

We do have cameras. BUT, they haven't worked in years. Useless deterrent is all they are.

No dealer would accept the car in trade, and it has never been the same (rattles, squeaks, loose panels). Demand diminished value on the order of 7-10g's.

I'm pissed and it's not even my car!!!
I took my car to my friends body shop immediately after I noticed the damage. He said that he would prefer to repair the panel vs replace it, but it might be too much to repair. I really don't know what would be better. So much more can be damaged or not put back together properly if they replace it. I'll really need to look into diminished value. But knowing my luck, that's probably not a thing here in California.

The quarter panel is pushed just far enough forward that I have to push my shoulder into the door panel to get the door to open so that I can get out of the car.

Yessir, terrible news. That happened to me twice on my 12 SS. I believe it was a coworker as well, but never found out who. I don't work for that company any more.

Ours was worse and bondo really wasn't an option, but if you have a "friends" body shop that can repair the damage for cash without reporting to Carfax I'd go that route.

This could get interesting. My insurance company can not give me a Proper quote because of the quarter panel. They told me that my body shop can source the panel. So out of curiosity, I called the local Chevy dealers that I have an account with. They didn't have any info except part number. No price, no availability, no nothing. What happens when the body shop can't get parts?

Still no estimate on how long it will take the dealer to get a new quarter panel. This Sucks.

My thoughts exactly. My base model Pontiac grand Prix wrong wheel drive daily driver 8 years not one ding or scratch.

My mint 06 gto 1 week after getting it a ding on the driver side rear wheel well. On the double walled steel so can't dent pull it. Then a month later an idiot at publix let carts go down hill and one finds my passenger door left a nasty little dent that I had popped back out but still it does seem that having a nice car makes you a magnet for this sort of thing.

Sorry to see this man. A BMW pulled out in front of me 2 1/2 weeks ago and they are still waiting on parts for my car. They may be hard to get for a little while since they are so new.

Trying to keep my sanity til i get her back

You can park in the middle of nowhere and two people will park on either side of you. happened yesterday. Bill Burr has it right, too many people just taking up space.

Wow. Sorry so see that. It most definitely sucks. Some people out there don't care about anything else but themselves. I know things can happen but at least you have to own it if you are the one causing the damage.
