Don't waste money

Cancel subscription, wait a week, get notice for six months for $30. Make sure you cancel before your six months is up. Repeat.

I've got 2-3 weeks left of my 12 month trial, we'll see what happens when that's over. I really like the Tune Select feature, but I get nickeled and dimed enough as it is. It will take a hell of a deal for me to keep XM.

I've ignored their calls for about 2 months now. I finally spoke with them a few days ago. Absolutely no XM radio for me as long as it remains a paid subscription.

Their business model and technology is obsolete. The music stations play the same songs over and over again. It is just like FM radio, but there are maybe 2x more songs. If you have a favorite station, give it a few days of listening and you'll be able to pickup where the beginning and end of their playlist is.

The bit rate of streaming is garbage. The reception is garbage. If I go under a freeway overpass or under some power lines I always get interruptions. Increase the buffer a bit and stop this from happening. This should never be a problem. OEM stereos are now good enough that you can easily pickup the difference between a crap media stream and a high bit rate stream. XM radio seems to think I'm still using the 6 speaker radio in my 1997 Chevy Lumina.

I am lucky to be able to use my work cell phone plan to stream music through Apple Car Play without worrying about data. I have a TIDAL Hifi subscription. I am unlucky in the fact that I am forced to use an Apple phone at work, but it's worth the downside.

I don't plan on subscribing after my trial is over. Each station has static interruption every few seconds it's very annoying. Going under an overpass or though a tunnel is understandable but driving on a clear blue skies day should have no excuse for poor quality reception.

Yeah, I've heard "Diamond Girl" by Seals and Crofts too many times this week.

Love mine but where I live FM is crap. I wont pay over 99 a year for each vehicle but my camaro update was 30 bucks for 6 months just now. Like someone else said - call and try to cancel, they will come down. Alot.

I just renewed my Camaro, Impala, and the wife's Malibu. I got them to give me $25 for 5 months for the XM Select plan on all 3. Just had to call and say "cancel service" and they came back with the deal. I figure its worth it.

I'm cancelling mine on my pickup just not driving that vehicle very much these days, going to tell them it's being sold to avoid all the back n forth and spending a hour on the phone with there tactics.

Bought my car last month and they already called and offered 6 months for $30 which would start after my 12 month free trial. They usually wait until a month before it ends.

I hate XM. The quality on the music channels is atrocious. Maybe it's better on internet streaming but it sounds terrible in the car.

I only listen to howard but I don't like it enough to pay very much. I'm pretty sure they offered me $100 for one year in the mail. I'll have to go back and check.

Phone data plan is unlimited so I don't care. I don't have the connected car wifi either.
