Love me some Tacos
|
On page three of my build I posted the dyno results most have already stated this its just a number of the day. I have a Z/28 CAI, Headers and NPP Exhaust with fuse pull.
HP 440 and TQ 430 a person with another Camaro ran about a week later and received HP 442 and TQ 435 with same mods except for brand of CAI and Headers. That made me happy knowing its a consistent process so that improvements will give me the net difference. |

Yea I noticed the OP is in the north so he would get better numbers than I will. Damn southern heat Hoping I can get close to those numbers whenever I get mine on a dyno.

This is what I touched on a few days ago.
Dyno's are extremely useful tuning tools. But the dyno settings input by an operator and the environmental factors/numbers (their weather station data) can make HP comparisons less than valid. If a dyno is set up great and its weather station is set up great, then you ought to be close. But we never know how any one machine/system is set up. My tuner uses two different brands of dyno (Dynojet and Superflow) at two different shops. But the setups are typically spot on. The power numbers spit out for the same car by those 2 machines on the same day have been within 3 - 5 hp of one another. But, I've seen dyno sheets where the correction factor was off due to poor weather station info which inflated power numbers 5 - 10 percent or more. For the OP on this thread, we've seen in the past and seen posted here, 410 to 445 rwhp for nearly identical mods. That's a pretty big swing and why I just don't see the need to get too wrapped up on dyno sheet power comparisons.

Agreed , I'm totally not wrapped on the Dyno numbers. Like I said I'm new to the Camaro world and was curious if those numbers were in the ballpark. Again thank you guys for all the great info. Loving the car. I'll post numbers when I get to the track. Would really like to road race it .
