What...No Rear Mat

I actually got in the back of my car the other day to take the dealer tag out of the window. Was about to back out of it and happened to notice there was no rear mats in the back. Is that the way it's supposed to be?

I was surprised, too, at no rear mats. I bought the premium mats through GM parts, and they include rear ones, too.

I'm guessing both. They probably figure no one will miss them since you can't really see any floor space in the back. I may buy the GM race stripe mats...they're pretty cool.

Why put mats in it when it's rare anyone ever sits in the back of one? Saves company money= profit+

It's not like feet are ever going to touch the floor in front of the rear seat. That thing is there for insurance reasons, and it works wonderfully. Chevy is doing you a favor by pretending the car is > 2 seats and you dont get any added benefit by including mats.

Yes. Yes. I Tried on a '16. Adjusted the seat,6'3", and my elbow was on the rear seat when I looked back there. Could not even see the rear floor pans.

And please, profit is a good thing for companies. Buy stock in the company if you think it is excessive and share in the profit and the RISKS!

I had to move the seat forward a bit to peer down at the rear floor to make sure the all weather mats I paid for were there. You cannot see them at all.
So yes, waste of money to put mats there.

Pretty sure my 2011 doesn't have them. But could be wrong. I guess I never missed them until you said something.

Well, there are reasonably priced OEM and Lloyd's mats if you really want a nice set. They really feel cushy on the floor and the Lloyd's mats dampen some of the sound. The OEM set really looks pretty decent. Might look good for car shows with the doors open...you know.

I noticed the lack of rear mats also when I changed mine out, thought maybe the dealer stiffed me. Really like the new mats though they go really nice with the kalahari.
