Hard water spots on windshield
I just bought a used ‘16 SS and I noticed that the windows have a lot of hard water spots that won’t come out. I saw videos about using Bar Keepers Friend cleaner and polish to get water spots out. Is that good stuff? Any recommendations?

For the quickest easiest solution, use a glass polishing disk and glass polish. If you don't have a dual action polisher, you can get an adapter to use a power drill.

Soak paper towels in vinegar and lay them on your windshield for a few hours, that should soften the spots for removal with a claybar.

You can remove the spots chemically (vinegar, CarPro water spot remover) or mechanically with an abrasive polish and a pad or glass polishing disk. Don't use steel wool (some say you can, Mike Phillips says steel scratches glass.) Claybar is probably not going to be much help. Neither Mike Phillips nor McKees37 recommends clay on glass water spots. Polishing is by far the fastest way.

CarPro Ceri glass, that will not only get rid of your water spots but also polishes it.

I'd recommend using CLR in increasing dilutions starting at 1 part CLR 10 parts distilled water.
CLR ... strong stuff. |

I used the Bar Keepers Friend powdered cleanser and polish. I watched the video online and mixed the portion of water and 1 teaspoon of cleanser. This had no effect. I figured it needed to be a more aggressive mix so I took the wet microfiber towel I was using and just lightly added powder to it until I got the right results. Worked great! Did my windshield in about a half hour. Now to do the rest of the windows tomorrow. Thanks for all of your suggestions!
