LT4 has been posted. That confirms the other document is the LT1.

It's such a strange way to document the cars. Corvette 6.2 lists two different transmission options on one line...but Camaro doesn't? Just strange.

I wouldn't mind if they kept the A8 if it didn't have all the issues. The A8 isn't good at anything other than wide open throttle acceleration. Part throttle or low throttle is horrible. One day it's shifts fine and the next is harsh 1-2 shifts that jerk your brains out. I've had it flushed and converter changed. It's just not a very refined transmission.

The A8 in my 2018 does behave well under part throttle and low throttle conditions, to me it appears to be a pretty good transmission. Shifts are spot on, quick and precise, with only one exception (3->1 entering an incline, and even that is gradually getting less noticeable, it might be fixed fully with a relearn).

Were it not for these shudder issues, I would have no problem with it and wouldn't want anything else (granted, I haven't tried the A10 yet).

Why is Cadillac still using the A8?

Probably because the new model is coming and it wasn't worth the significant work to calibrate and validate an all new transmission for 1 model year of a verrrrry low volume model. Most people underestimate how much work goes into powertrain calibration. It's far more work than just bolting it in.
