Stock Dyno Results!

Just wanted to share some dyno numbers with everyone of my car after ~1,500 miles on the car. We made 3 back to back pulls to show cold and hot, which stayed extremely consistent during our testing!

Temperature was at 57* on the dyno and right at 30% humidity. For those that will ask, this is in STD correction, and SAE numbers were 418/418. This is 100% STOCK with no re-programming on the ECU down to the stock filter.

Since this I've added a Roto-Fab CAI with the dry filter and sound tube delete, and will be tuning sometime next week. I'll follow up with the updated numbers once I have them!

Nice numbers, explains why my butt dyno says that the 1LE feels a lot stronger than my 2008 Corvette with the Z51 package felt.

Did you dyno with just the roto fab added? I see you list 427rwhp in your signature..

Agreed. I had an 09 C6 Z-51 NPP 6M that I added LG long tubes, ported IM and TB with Airaid air filter and a tune and it did 422 RWHP/424 RWT. This car feels equal. I'm sure the 3.73 gear on the 1LE vs the 3:42 on the C6 help equal things up with the weight difference

Although the long tubes made the C6 sound better!

So you are saying assuming 15% driveline losses for the manual we are making over 490 hp and torque at the crank (418/0.85=492)?

Even at 13% loss, that's over 480.

Is the LT1 really that conservatively rated at 455 hp?

If so, dayuum.

I have been talking too the dyno-room guys @ work and they've assured me that the LT1 is very conservatively rated. This is exaggerated with the M6 as the driveline efficiency is much better. Most the A8 2SS guys are seeing right around 400 or less bone stock from what i've seen thus far. Manuals tend to dyno much closer to 415-420.

Well here is mine and not so happy with it.....
My A8 2SS @ 340.7hp at wheels and 354.4 TQR. Far less than I expected. It was a 4 wheel Dyno they said was as close as you could get....to real numbers
Headers and tune to be installed next...

We have 2 examples of why dyno results can be misleading....

1. A whopper of a motor at 418 hp stock
2. A dyno chart that is clearly "clipped" and leaves a guy feeling he has been cheated

I don't buy either....although # 1 is clearly a realistic curve. Just a very" happy" dyno with great numbers. # 2 , well that dyno curve is clearly clipped- the top chopped off.

ya it looks strange. Who knows though, always a ton of variables when it comes too dyno runs.

340RWHP?!??!??!!?!?

Granted autos dyno lower than manuals, I find it insane you loss 115hp through your drivetrain. Hell my auto fifth gen and they make 400/400 stock
