WTB Exhaust Components with a Question as well.

Have a high flow cat on the way, but I'm still looking for some long tube headers, and a cat-back.

For the LT's, I'm considering buying a new set of 1 7/8 Pacesetters which I found in black for $300 shipped brand new from a website.

I'm still a bit lost with the cat-back, but I know I can't spend the $1,000+ that most of them cost for now.

What do you have?

I would prefer something with a tame sound at idle and low RPM, but a fairly loud sound at WOT. Let me know what you have. Found some good deals on some new Pacesetter headers, but with the rest being fairly expensive, I'm going used for sure. I'll add a quick question as well. Does the Camaro perform better with long tubes or shortys?

Noticeable power wont be made from exhaust components. unless you have headers and a tune. Avoid Flowmaster if yo ucan then, they sound horrible.

Longtubes are great for future power increasements. Sound better imho. Shorties...not really changing much besides the flow a bit more. minor gains.
Longtubes you will loose some low end TQ. but not as much as you expect. I have high flows and straight to the NPP and its loud on start and WOT. otherwise not loud at all.

So in short you're saying....

Long tubes can get you power as long as you get a tune, but you lose a tad bit of low end torque

Shortys dont give any gains.

Right?

Pretty much. Shories are not really doing much more than changing a bit of flow from oem ( noticeable ) Tuning takes full advantages of the longtubes. plus the sound

I have a full SLP system long tube headers (coated) plus 3" cat back with cats (hollowed out), resonators and loud mouth II mufflers used for 4 K miles all stainless. Cost over 2500 will sell for 1200, could meet part way for delivery if interested. Great system just needed to go bigger on the headers due to supercharger output.

I've now got my headers and high flows. Just need cat back now. Parting out?

My flowmaster headers and exhaust sound great with a tune.

I’ve got a clip of my exhaust on YouTube. I like the American Thunder catback myself. There’s some drone, but who gives a ****? The louder the better.

Look at my channel and you may find another one. I have a dyno run and I think another video but idk if it’s at idle or if it has acceleration on it.
