My favorite color on a car is a dark green metallic, so I said green.

But if they do, they wouldn't offer it on the 2LT 1LE and not the 1SS 1LE. That makes no sense. However, would they limit this to only one special edition Camaro? Perhaps. Who knows?
It looked dark green and not black to me...

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

The way he worded it leads me to believe this would be an option at least on the 1LE. Appreciate the link regarding it being referred to as a concept color still, I hadn't seen that. I still feel it's all but confirmed for the 1LE though.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of the green but I also want to see a Hugger Orange for MY17. It only makes sense to me seeing that it's the 50th anniversary year.
Is there a link to a video or transcript of what he said? Besides that, he does sometime misspeak or mis-phrase things -- all humans are fallible. Personally, if this color ever wound up on a production car, I'd be really surprised. It's just too vibrant and loud, making it a radical departure from their current offerings.

On a side note, I just realized that if you remove all the shades of white / silver / black / "deep" (nearly black) colors in either normal or metallic finish, there isn't much left over. You're basucally left with Hyper Blue, Bright Yellow, and Red Hot. Only three fun colors for a sports car. Seriously, wtf?

Like I said before, there's a lot of middle ground between the two extremes I feel. Just look at what Dodge is doing for a good example of the kind of color palette that really brings the design of the car to life.

Yeah 100% agree with you about the color offerings with the gen6 thus far. Extremely mute choices. Dodge is a fantastic example of awesome colors. The sublime green, b5 blue, plum crazy purple and upcoming go mango orange are all fantastic examples of fun/cool colors and that's just an aside from their already decent 'regular' colors.

And I also agree that Al could have misspoken. I believe it was the interview Roman from TFL Car did with him at the reveal. I was telling my wife I would love it if they came out with something like krypton green but it is definitely radical in comparison to what it out, even more so than Dodge's Sublime Green (which I am a huge fan of). But I figured it'd be a 1 year 1LE color. Synergy Green was a thing but not for very long either.

The official playbook shows several photos of the car in green as does the Chevrolet.com website as of Friday. If they do not produce the car in this color I'd be amazed. False advertising to continually show something you aren't making although the color is still not shown in the exterior paint color chart.

Ford does Competition Orange and thats a great look with all the black on the car. Imagine black wheels with black rally stripes. Would look sick.
