First Car Show-First Place
Took the Camaro to it's first car show...spic and span. Displayed the window sticker on the window and had plenty of comments about the high cost, but most understood when I told them the content.
One Mustang owning contestant wanted to argue that it should beat his Mustang GT Premium when it cost much more. I told him we could find someone with a 1SS that was closer in price to his Mustang and I offered my hand to seal a bet of $1,000 that the cheaper car would beat his by at least 6 car lengths...naturally he wouldn't shake my hand. I happened to have my last 12.08 @ 114mph ET slip with me and he was quick to explain that it was a 6.2 vs a 5.0. I told him the Gen 5 was a 6.2 and the Mustang 5.0 was arguably faster than the 5th gen...he didn't want to talk about that. Then came the window complaint...ok, but the 5th gens were similar and that car outsold the Mustang for nearly 5 years...so it must not have been too big a problem. Oh, well. NOTE: Sorry...no matter what I do with the original, when I post pictures they're not oriented correctly. The originals are correct????
