I have not had my Camaro for very long and I came from owning a 14 C7 stingray that I put 40,000 miles on. The Corvette has an economy mode and the Camaro does not. In the economy mode the Stingray would hold the taller gears more on hills and things like that and was getting better mileage than the SS. I was averaging about 3 or 4 mpg better in the Stingray. I know the SS is heavier and has more aerodynamic drag but I don't think it should be more than 1 or 2 mpg difference. I'm thinking the transmission programming in tour is downshifting a lot more frequently and costing me a little economy. Maybe I should try it in the snow mode and see what it does. Has anyone tried this?

Other than this, I love the auto, I was a hardcore manual guy and have a manual in my ZL1 but the Stingray auto converted me for my daily driver. Also the Camaro has a bigger trans cooler than the stingray did so I don't think the SS trans will overheat on the race track like the C7 trans did. Have to wait for summer track days to find out.

I feel like the snow mode only changes the petal sensitivity because you really have to throw it down to get up to speed.

I have an A8 in My 15 Silverado 4WD and its been GREAT!!!! Truck has 1000Lbs in it all the time. The 6.2- 8spd is powerful and still gets 20MPG on the road!!!! VERY happy and the New SS will also have the 8spd.

How about an option, it exceeded my expectations? It really does.

1400 miles and I love the A8. No problems and I love the way it adapts to your driving.
