ZL1 and 2SS Side-by-Side Exhaust Notes

Here's a fun comparison we did today. It's not too radical since it's Christmas and the neighbors probably aren't as excited as we are about the noise. Both the 17 ZL1 and 16 2SS are bone stock. The Engine Sound Management is set on Track Mode for both cars. The steady rev at the end is at 4000 rpm starts with the ZL1 and then the 2SS.

Very cool side by side comparison. Seems deeper IMO on the ZL1 as expected but the SS still is sounding like a beast. I would rather own a ZL1 any day of the week no doubt but love my 2SS as its 1 year old birthday was yesterday and couldn't be happier!

Is the ZL1 wider than the SS?

No, From the back i think it looks that way due to the larger exhaust tips and rear wing spoiler being wider/longer in length along with the tires.

Awesome video.. It seems to me that the ZL1 is very just slightly louder at startup but the idle is pretty much identical. But I can be wrong since the SS started first.

Nice...Zl1 sounds a little more aggressive and louder, but both sound awesome.

I'm surprised to see ZL1 is not wider. For example Z06's back is wider than base Corvette.

Soundwise, they both sound good. Where you will really notice the difference, is under boost where is there more air being pushed out. Then the ZL1 will sound mean...

The ZL1 sounds a little raspier to me. It's not a huge difference, but I detect a slightly different tone. Both cars sound good, though.

Front fenders are wider; rears are the same.

Also, both front and rear fenders are wider on a Z06 vs base vette.

To me every part of the video, but of course I'd rather have the Z any day of the week.

On the Z06 are you sure the actual fenders are wider or is it just those silly black lips they tacked on?
