L99/A6 Paddle shifting Question

While driving in M mode when I come to a complete stop it defaults to 2'nd gear and not 1'st gear. Is this normal? I have a 2012. Some feed back on this or an explanation as to why it selects 2'nd gear as a it's default when I come to a stop would be great.

Normal. You need to drop it to 1st if you want it there. 2nd has more then enough power to start from, that's why it defaults there.

The V6 drop to 1st.

Thank for the quick reply, I thought I had transmission issues.

Nope, exactly the way it's supposed to work. 1st gear is so tall you don't get up to more than a few miles per hour and it's time to shift to 2nd.
