2014 camaro tail lights are identical to.....
1969 camaro tail lights! these were clearly the inspiration to the new tail lamps...
reverse lights are even in the same spot. |

No way you can call that identical. The 69 does not wrap around the corner. The look more like the late 70's lights with lenses to match the color scheme of the 69. But no way are they identical.

It's a Dingledarm. It's there to dampen side fumbling. If your marzelvanes fumble too much they can cause total protonic reversal. It gets ugly from there. This is really the biggest problem with the new Camaro. That and the tri-pronged blivot.

They may not be 100% identical because they wrap around the corner, but the general shape looks very similar and as the OP said - even the reverse light is in the same spot. Thanks for sharing the pic and pointing it out, OP!
