Garage time for Earthshaker...for up to 7 mths!!!
First off, this car has never been a Garage Queen! I took delivery on 30 December 2011 and she has over 15,500 miles! I bought this car for the love of the Camaro. I have been at Camaro for Heroes in Fayetteville, NC and Camaro5 Fest III in Indy! She has never been enclosed carried and stays on the road as much as possible...
I (as any military personnel) have deployments. I have one coming up soon and will have to put Earthshaker in the garage until I return. It will make me sad to know she is just sitting there...waiting for my return to put her back on the road! I will keep up as much as I can on here with everyone. Thanks for having such a great site...see you guys/gals as Camaro5 Fest IV!!!

Ahhh... I hate putting my car in the garage, usually it's for 8-9 months because I don't take it to school with me :(

Deploying is great, and I can't wait for my turn, as of for now, I can't deploy, didn't get the change and now I'm a FAP to the range, if you are able to do it, try to be a Marksmanship Instructor, one year no deployment, and it's a really good job, with great experience. and you will have a lot of time to drive your Camaro.
I had mine for just over 1 year and 3 months, and I didn't drive it much last 2 months as I'm getting busy with college, but I put over 25k miles in mine already. And if it wasn't for the horrible gas prices it would have twice as much. Back to topic, there is quite a few posts in here on how to properly store your Camaro, and what is all the extra nice things to do. My best advice is to visit your family before you leave, and ask them to drive it 1 time a week until you are back.

Wow, a 45th anniversary HPE650. Awesome car!
I've deployed and had TDY's/short tours that required me to leave cars behind too. I look at the positive things with my POV's during a deployment: - No possibility for damage/accidents - No additional mileage, keep mileage low - Decrease insurance coverage=more $$$ in your pocket (depending on where you store the car). This can offset the storage fees... - Less wear/tear (drivetrain, suspension, body, interior, etc.)
