how arkansans drive in the snow.

so these were taken friday night.

the grand total was 30ish wrecks with 14-15 hit and runs, 16 cars/trucks still here when the cops showed up to close the hill down late yesterday afternoon.

and for good fun, here's the one of first two cars to wreck and start the pile up.

the bug, something weird was going on here, the guy pulled his plate off and grabbed his registry and booked it. (so I was told)

this is about 2 blocks from where I parked the Camaro and hoofed it.

I forgot to add, No one was hurt and we handed out some old blankets to a lady with kids that was having a complete meltdown after getting out of her car.

Yall are on it. There's a line, not sure where it is exactly, where below it we just are not used to this stuff. I'm definitely below that line. So we're expecting more "wintry mix" this week down in Alabama. The city, county, and state governments are freaking after that screw up a couple weeks back. They refuse to get caught with their pants down again.

But I'll tell you how it goes, we'll have gotten hit with at least three events in less than a months time. So now everyone is going to be super prepared from now on, for like 5 to 7 years. Over that time period we won't have any events. So then everyone gives up on being prepared. When we get hit a decade or so after that everyone will be freaking out again. It's the 20 year winter cycle in Alabama. Rinse and repeat.

I was driving when this started coming down, after getting stuck/unstuck/stuck with the summer tires I found a empty lot and parked it and walked home.

this was a picture I got from a friend who saw my car and had to stop to tease me.

It came down at the worst time, right as everyone was getting off work. I had to drive from Little Rock to Benton in the middle of all that (was not in my Camaro) it took forever trying to find a road that did not look like that with all the cars piled up.
