recommended Dexos R ‘supercar’ mobile oil
I completed my 500mi initial oil change for my 24 ZL1 .. the newly recommended oil is the new SuperCar Dexos 2-mobile 1 oil.
My dealer stated they used this as i requested they do so. This is the part # they stated it is in their system. Part# 19432866. Any gm mechanics can confirm this part# is accurate to this oil? Thanks. |

Just Google the Part Number. It comes up as 0W40 Supercar oil.

Yes the super car 0w40 is the stuff. But it is rated on the bottle as DexosR not Dexos2. Still the correct stuff, but I don't believe it is dexos2 like you mentioned. I just ordered some from Summit since i had a discount coupon. Was $118 shipped for 12qts and a filter. Amazon has it for $54 plus tax for 6qts (113 plus tax), cheaper than Summit was without the discount. Note*, the LT4 takes 10qts not 12, they just sell in 6qt boxes. You can also get a oil change kit that comes with 10, but its more bang for your buck buying 12. Once you do the 5th oil change, your 6th is basically a gimme.
