Hod Rodding them both is what really makes me think about the possibilities. Challenger high Cam and headers with fat slicks out back. raked look, true muscle. Camaro done up as a modern sports coupe, low to the ground wide low profile tires squared. performance oriented in all aspects. Now that is what i think of when you compare the two, not what they are factory. Dodge is trying to sell cars remember and compete with the SS & GTs potential buyers, not everyone wants what the challenger should be. Underneath how could you say its anything other?

If the SS sedan wasn't so pricey it would have been more tempting. As it is, I was able to get employee pricing on the Challenger which put the Scat Pack Shaker in the low 40's and I loaded it up!

I am skeptical about Dodge after having bad luck/mechanical problems with a Dodge Durango and a Dodge Daytona in the past.

Ive had more problems if not too many with ALL of the Chrysler products ive owned than any other Mfg. (Specifically Dodge & Jeep) Sometimes the Vehicle is worth the headache, others not. I dont mind dealing with some issues when the pop up, as they always will with whatever you buy. But i would rather not expect them...

Off topic...I saw this commercial for the first time today. It's about time somebody used the Metallica song "Fuel" in a car commercial. Too bad it couldn't be a Camaro commercial.

That's impressive considering the ss is around 500 lbs lighter. They really pull when on the go

Yes, very fast cars. In the 1/4, we have the advantage stock vs stock. They need better tires and then the 1/4 is a driver's race.

I wouldn't be afraid of buying a Dodge with a v8.. Wouldn't touch their 4 cylinder models.

Scat pack and SRT8 models are very nice.

I don't know if any changes were made from the 13 srt8 to 15 scatpack. But compared to the new 6th gen camaro even with better tires the srt8 traction management is lacking on the street. Has no clue how to apply power when the road surface is not prepped. Personal experiences, was not impressed. Any one else, maybe it's just Newengland roads

Scat Pack= SRT8 "Core" with the 8 Speed auto and active exhaust

That's about it..otherwise it is basically the same. They lowered it down to the top level R/T trim and lowered the price accordingly.

The 8 speed is the major difference. Manual SP cars are not a drivers race for M6 or A8 6th gens. But the 8 speed SP cars are definitely not to be taken lightly.

I honestly wonder what the Hemi would do if it picked up DI...it's already outmuscling the LT1 with only about 20 more cubes.

A DI 392 Hemi would be a really, really stout motor. Like 500 foot lbs of torque (stock) strong, and probably 510 HP easy.

Next time try turning. He won't be that close to you then.
