Odemeter will not dim using control knob. Solution?

My odemeter display will not dim using the control knob near the hud buttons. I tried replacing the knob and it didn’t fix the issue. What could be the issue ? Potential fix? The interior lights will dim just not the odometer display

Thank you !

If the infotainment screen also dims with the knob, the issue is definitely with your gauge cluster. Not sure if you're still within bumper-to-bumper, probably not unless you have purchased an extended warranty, I'd ask the dealership if there is a TSB, what they would charge, and proceed from there.

Check ALL of the settings in the Infotainment to see if might be something you accidentally "configured". Also check for software updates - these cars do weird things when there's a software update and it doesn't get applied.

Mine is in the shop for this exact issue, but I had my HUD replaced, which involved partial dash removal. I suspect my culprit is a forgotten pigtail somewhere under the dash. I will echo that the gauge cluster and infotainment center screen are on the same ‘circuit’. In my case, both stay daylight bright.

Check all of the settings in the Infotainment software, maybe even reset everything. It sounds like there's at least a chance that it's a software issue.
