I know my Z06 sounds wimpy, wimpy, wimpy. I hope the new Zxx sounds Hefty, Hefty, Hefty.

If you check out the MotoMan interview on YouTube, the Chief Engineer said that the problem is that almost no one spending $85k on a luxury car (performance or otherwise) is interested in a manual transmission. I would expect that the market response for Camaros (i.e. A dedicated performance car) would be very different. So I wouldn't worry too much.

I can guarantee the next ZL1 will get a manual transmission. Ceramic brakes would be a cool option but I don't think we will see that. One can hope.

The GT350 has them. Pretty sure they will make it on the Z. Undoubtely an option though.

The ZL1 may get the Ceramic brakes as a part of the Z28 option. Kinda like what they did with the Corvette and the Z06 option.

The GT350 does not have carbon ceramic brakes.

I think he means if you opt for the R package you get them.

Needs to be an option, have you seen how expensive the brakes are? A 6-7K brake job would scare me!

That was a joke. The LT4 in the Z06 is definitely not wimpy if the exhaust mode is set to track. Everyone that has heard mine has said it sounds bada$$.

The GT350R doesn't get them either. Ford said they looked at carbon ceramics and any benefits did not outweigh the costs.

I was going by the leaked order guide (http://blog.caranddriver.com/mustang...r-form-leaked/). Did a little looking around and and see where they opted out. My mistake.
