The 1LE hood wrap looked cool, but was a bad idea, it was peeling at the edges under the hood at the Corvette and Muscle Car Nationals I viewed at Rosemont, IL the other year. Fbodfather was there, and upon pointing it out to him he suggested I suggest an alternative for the 6th Gen. I would just paint the hood matte black and skip the wrap.

A unique hood would be cool too.

The reason I think 1LE and ZL1 is because the 1LE was a result of ZL1 testing. They took parts from the ZL1 to create the 1LE. So why not test them side by side. The hood argument is nullified by the fact that the SS and Z/28 shared a hood. The HiPo models may all share a hood different from the SS. That would explain the different sideskirts too. The ZL1 would have more aero than the 1LE. This would most likely be suspension and drivetrain testing. Aero would be done mostly in the wind tunnel. Can't test aero with all the padding on the body.

I suspect that we might see hood vents on the Gen 6 ZL1 that are similar to the Z06. Kind of looks that way to me.

I agree, but... I don't see them doing it exactly the same... I see the same hood without the vent grille... Stay tuned to camaro news for my newest renders, I'm gonna send them in in about an hour
