I wonder if it's time for somebody to try to keep a list of the IP addresses used in these attempts, and periodically pass it on to site admins so that the listed IPs can be blocked. There is a similar thread over on Mustang6g.com that's been going for a few months now.

About passwords - for any financial site that I might use, I don't use a password that's even remotely similar to what I use here and elsewhere in the automotive bulletin board world. And I'm in the process of taking things one step further.
