He has a point..everyone cries that these are heavy chevys and lead sleds...lets see what it comes out to be before we judge..its going to be in the same weight range as our biggest competitor to start of with and last I checked that's pretty good news

That's all fine and great, but there are some of us that are still traditionalist muscle car types that don't want a track car or track car designs. I'm 33 and still love a whole lot of horsepower that goes in a straight line that isn't a Copo.

Smaller and lighter is definatley a good thing. Cadillac has done great things with the lineup over the past few years although I think they too should go retro and bring back some big ol boats, The Coupe Deville and the Eldorado!

I test drove an ATS when I bought my Camaro..... it was to tight a fit in the drivers seat and if the 2016 Camaro is like that ....count me out.

I drove a ton of stuff before I got my Camaro, including a RWD 2.0T ATS, and it's a damn good car. It doesn't have the raw mechanical grip of say, a 1LE, but it's more nimble and has more acurate/better steering. The Alpha platform was designed to be able to swallow an LS7, so I'm sure we'll still get the LT1 in the SS. Unless GM really screws the pooch, it'll be fantastic.

USA Today, your number one source for accurate automotive news........
They are just assuming too much based on what is very little known information. Until I read it here first from an actual GM insider like Fbodfather, I will reserve judgment. Don't panic, the powers in control will not allow the Camaro to become something its faithful will hate. Remember what Fbodfather always says, "Keep the faith".

Loved the Mustang II.... loved the Cimarron.
Just kidding. I'll confess, I like big. For the most part, big wins in the safety department (I know, I know... there are exceptions to every rule). However, if we're going to go have a head- on collision contest between cars of varying sizes, I call dibs on the bigger car. Maybe it's my roots, maybe it's my Hedonistic desire to have lots of stuff, the bigger the better. Call me a heretic, but Camaros could be even bigger, and I'd be fine with that. Smaller... not so much. If I wanted smaller, I'd go get a Porsche. Well, if I was also about sixty tax brackets above where I'm at now... Last edited by Scalded Dog; 10-21-2014 at 09:52 AM. |
