I don't own a current Camaro, but each time I see one (mostly ZL1 Trim), I get really envious, love it, but I don't own one (driven 2 ZL1's) so it is easier for me NOT to compare it to the current - I think if we all try and do that, we may see it a little more positive...maybe
With that said - I do believe this car is gonna be sick - its stance looks aggressive, from what I can see of the lines, sharpe. I hope maybe they took some cues from C7 on the hood, maybe added some sharpe lines to make it not so...plain, but we'll have to wait to see. If it gets the LT1 and LT4 = sick. Regardless, better tech, better interior, better everything IMO. For me...I'm going to start making room in the garage. p.s., i think if they added functional air vents by each wheel well, it would look really sharpe - kinda like on the T4 kit. p.s.s, I think my hardest decision on the 6th Gen is if they put in an 8 speed (DCT-Like) tranny, then 8 speed A or 7 speed M. For 5th Gen, no doubt i go with 6M. Last edited by DenverTaco07; 09-30-2014 at 09:12 AM. |

The more I see, the less worried I am they're going to move further from a winning formula, like the 5th Gen.

I saw the ATS coupe today for the first time. If that is any indication of how sexy a car can look on this platform, I believe GM will get the Camaro right and we will all be in for a treat!! I did notice that those rear reflectors are identical to the ATS coupe and almost in the exact same location.

I like it. I recently started researching fifth gens in hopes of getting a '15. Once I heard that the 2016 would be the next gen, I figured I would wait and see how it was in the looks department since all reports indicate it will be a better performing car than what we have now. Fugly and great performing is a no go. I love the look of the fifth gens. So keep it similar in looks and up the performance= win win.

That is simply the camo working and the lack of headlamps and tail lamps. Plus flat black wheels. That camo is specifically designed to minimize features and shapes.

I see some cts coupe in the read fender, and also some corvette with the back roof line and glass sloping.

I see a hint of reverse 'k' style c-pillars...reminiscent of the '68 and '69 Chevelles. GM used to be quite deft at car design in the sixties; I am just a bit nervous as to whether this design stroke will work for them again.
The design poses itself to be a bolder rendering of the 5th gen's design, so hopefully it will have some promise.

At the end of the day, the car will look like a Camaro. People lashed out when the 2nd gen didn't look like the 1st Camaro, GM doesn't want to repeat that mistake. I'll bet the 6th gen will be the best since the 1st gen. The 5th gen ain't bad, but it was quite big and large compared to the 1st gen. The 6th gen will get back to that length and shape. The 6th gen will continue to beat the mustang and challenger in monthly sales.

The front end looks narrowed and more sloped not tall and boxy like the 5th gen's. Don't get me wrong I like the 5th gens but from inside the car that front end is a beast.

I think if we didn't get the refresh last year this would look a lot more drastic to us. Look at the 2010 and then look at this.
