My son backed into my car today. #$%#$%#

I am one who washes my car weekly, waxes it, polishes the wheels, etc. Keep it super clean. So Saturday was a beautiful day in Salt Lake - sunny, 70's. So I drove around for a while then parked in the driveway. My son was in a rush, didn't look at his *BACKUP CAMERA* and backed into my car sitting behind his. No dent, but messed up the license plate holder and flexed the bumper - cracking the pain over about a foot or so section.

Now, my wife votes that I let him live. I am considering it.

You brought him into this world you should be the one to take him out of it.... J/K sorry to hear man that's a tough one for sure. Heat should pop any dents in the plastic bumper but the paint will need to be redone I suppose.

This is the bitch. You can't go through the other guy's insurance because it's yours!

I am sorry to hear that man, but at least you know the person that hit it is sincerely sorry they did, right? I am sure your son knows of your love for the car. SO this is probably killing him too.

Back before there were backup cameras I backed my 75 jacked up Olds 442 on to the hood of my 1986 Fiero GT. Our son while he was parked at his girlfriends with my pickup and the guy across the street back into my truck last fall. The guy didn't have any insurance so now that is my bill. Then our was parked at work away from everyone with our Sebring vert and someone backed into the passenger door wiped their hand across the damage than took off. People just care anymore. Guess it's OK to mess up someone vehicle and not be responsible for it.
