R/T scat pack

My friend just recently bought a 2016 r/t scat pack challenger. I have the automatic 2012 ss stock and was just wondering my chances of beating him lol. He’s coming down next weekend so i plan on recording the race. . .

Also was wondering what are the best mods to get the most out of my engine?

His R/T Challenger is an overweight pig. No problem for you.

Drivers race... straight line performance, that pig has more horses and torque to move it with.

He'll probably take you. Pretty sure the 392 is faster to 60 and will just continue to walk the further you guys go.

Is your car an auto or m6? My friend bought a 2017 scat pak w the 6.4 and it rolls out. I've got a 2015 1ssm6 and we've played around a lot ... if it weren't for him being incompetent with his m6 it'd be close otherwise I beat him pretty good ... the scat pak cars really blow the tires off from a dig .. the mop are mantra is not truly putting the power to the ground but who has the bigger block with the largest numbers.....! my car sticks quite well on the street even w tcs completely turned off . Catch him from a dig and if you can launch he'll have to plea catch-up ...

I had a neighbor with one. Never talked to them about it. I thought those cars had a launch mode?

Either way it amazes me they put a 6.4l engine with 245 width rear tire. Guess for mpg purposes

Yes I haven’t done anything to the car since I got it. I’m on the road for work a lot so I don’t have much time to put any money in it. However with my friend getting the new scat pack I don’t wanna get embarrassed, so I wanted to know how far off from him I was.

If you are a stock auto, a 392 will eat you alive.

With 2" primary long tubes, Vararam Tune model and a tune i barely nosed out a scat pack about half a car. If you go from a roll they have ALOT of torque. I hope your buddy has a M6, a auto 392 is fast.

Stock vs stock you’re screwed. He has more hp, torque, and gears. Those scat pack cars are surprisingly quick and their launch control is actually pretty impressive. If you have mods you could beat his stock scat pack, but again those things are quick.
