The shifter does not have to be disconnected. Remove 2 nuts, back of shifter drops to clear studs. OEM mount slides off easy, it isnt glued or bonded. New mount bushings are tighter, but by design.

Nope but I did move a heat shield to get better access with a mallet when tapping the new one on.

As others also stated do not need to remove shifter, just the 2 nuts holding the old mount, has plenty of room to move it enough to remove old mount / install new. Very easy install, probably one of the easiest mods i have done on this car...LOL

I need to order. My oem hurst shifter feels really good actually but I'm still up for upgrading it if I can.

I only have one left, and one on an assembly with a short throw arm. One just sold a few minutes ago, we will make more, they are going faster than expected.

What's the stock ZL1 short throw shifter use for these bushings? I replaced my entire stock SS shifter with a complete ZL1 unit. I feel that the ZL1 shifter is pretty solid, but will your bushings make a big difference here also?

The only difference in the ZL1 shifter is that it is shorter, leading to a shorter throw. All bushings and such are the same on the regular SS, ZL1/1LE, and OEM Hurst/short throw.

No problem. Ive had all the variations in OEM shifters here to verify fitment in our mounts. The ZL1 is shorter above the pivot point, while the Hurst/OEM short throw actually moves the pivot point to reduce the throw. No other differences except knobs/boots.

If anyone is on the fence on this get down off of it and buy this I only drove it a few miles but from what I did drive it's the difference between night and day and I normally have the notchy 2-3 shift and it appeared to be absent but need more road time verify. Need more cool stuff like this.

Thanks! The last one I had in stock just sold! I have one on the full assembly shown in the pictures. It is a modified OEM for a 28% reduction over the stock SS shifter.

Yes! Although the Z/28 bushing might be difficult to beat in terms of price.

Little more review on the shifter bushing: got a chance to bang the gears and I think this might be top 5 mods I have done. Shift feel is amazing, and it is incredibly accurate now. Shifter does not move anymore while in gear. I could move the shifter left and right while it was in gear with the stock bushing. Little more noise coming through the car because of the bushing, but it's only under load so it's welcome.

I'm eyeing the solid rear subframe bushings now...
