Need Help With A Swap. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I'm working on getting everything together that I will need to swap a Tremec TR606 into my V6 Camaro and I'm just wanting someone info on the Tremec TR6060 along with other things for the drivetrain.

Pretty much, my plan is to only push 500whp for now, and eventually go for 600whp. So because of that, I'm considering buying all used ZL1 parts, for example I'm looking for a ZL1 Transmission, Driveshaft, Rear Differential, and Axles. But should I consider a aftermarket brand for all that stuff instead? Also, I'm considering running 3.91 gears with the ZL1 transmissions close gear ratio, is that too high or no?

Since this is all going into a car that had the Aisin AY6, I don't have any factory cooling components for the transmission or rear differential, so what aftermarket setup should I look into for them?

OK, first off the TR6060 will not bolt up to a v6 motor... I tried. secondly if you already have a manual v6 the housing for the rear diff is exactly the same as the manual ss just different internal gears so save money and just upgrade gears. As far as drive shafts go aftermarket, but understand the ay6 and tr6060 are completely different in bell housing size and length. Look up my V6 to V8 swap on here. I have posted videos.

The tr6060 will bolt up to the LFX. Cadillac already has it done. Go look up the 2017 ATS-V, it used the LF4 engine which is just a upgraded version of the LFX, still has the same block and everything, and they're using a TR6060 transmission with that car.

Must have a different bellhousing because the sizes were way off. But thanks I'll look into it. I still have my lfx.
