HUD color change

Has anyone ever attempted a color change of the readout? can it even be done?

if you get a see through plastic sheet in the color you desire you can cover the hud with it, the hud display will appear the color of the plastic sheet on the windshield best mod ever done.

I would love to make one if I could get a list of commands it responds to. I'm assuming these things connect to the low speed LAN?

The dash is a pain to remove and reinstall but if you have time you could do it. The color HUD is very nice compared to the old

I think this is two threads in one..

I've been thinking about upgrading to the color HUD, but like others, worried around ripping the dash out.

Can you just replace the 2012 Mono HUD with the 2014 Color one? anything else needed?
